Project: The home of the new College of Design, Engineering, and Commerce (DEC) brings together three previously scattered disciplines under one roof. A perforated metal ‘solar screen’ wraps the building, creating its signature form and mitigating the sun’s rays while allowing views to the outside. The project, which features a vegetated green roof, is pursuing a minimum of LEED Silver certification

Role: I used revit and 3dsmax to portray to the client how different profiles and densities would affect the ‘solar screen’. Thermal analysis was explored to verify the exterior building enclosure performance against heat transfer and moisture. This project is currently under construction and I am involved in the CA
